What error are you getting? I would also try turning off UAC in the User
Accounts applet of COntrol panel. ANd then try installing and printing. I
have noticed that UAC is very quirky with some programs. Also, are you
running 64 bit Vista or 32? I have encountered a few times where applications
will not install or will install but not run on my 64bit machines

hi victor

iam running 32bit vista premium which was a clean install. (the epson was
connected when installed vista) i was not prompted for any drivers.

when trying to print test page the printer icon showing ready turns to
error. no noises or any activity from the printer.

might be a bit green but what is uac ?

Reinstall the printer as a new one and see if that works. If it does, delete
the original installation. I have the same printer with Vista and it works
fine, so your installation is probably corrupt.
