Enabling Remote Desktop Through Norton Personal Firewall
Hello all - I am trying to enable Remote Desktop on a Vista Business Edition
PC which has Norton Internet Security 2007 installed on it. When I disable
the Personal Firewall, I can connect remotely. When it is enabled, I cannot.
I have tried to "Allow" the rdpclip.exe process in the firewall, but that
does not seem to enable the connection either. Can anyone tell me which
process(es) need to be enabled?
Re: Enabling Remote Desktop Through Norton Personal Firewall
Hi,
You have to set the firewall to allow incoming connections on port 3389.
Until you do, it will reject any attempt to connect to the system from an
external source.
