Default DVD problem

I am in a pickle this week, my unit in Iraq sent me a DVD for me to play
during the coming home ceremony, however my commander and I found some
unfriendly images. I want to cut these scenes out. So I downloaded AVS Video
ReMaker, works great, I select the start deletion area and end deletion
error, but the problem is that it is only a trial version, and will only
allow me to save five minutes of content. So my question is, is there any
simular software out there like this for free? Generaly I wouldn't mind to
pay for the licence, but I am not going to spend $30 of my money for my unit.
Any help would be very apprieciated.

Thanks,

Randall
