Difference between Vista SKU's 66R-00003 & 66R-00025 - "Service Desk Upgrade" ??
I ordered Vista Ultimate upgrade version 66R-00003 online and the
company sent version 66R-00025. It's marked "Service Desk Upgrade" I
couldn't find anything about it at Microsoft's site. What's the
difference? I really don't want to return it if it doesn't matter. Is
it still considered a "Retail Box" for the "Windows Vista Family
Discount" offer? I bought the retail version instead of OEM because of
the Family Discount Offer and so I could upgrade my motherboard at
some point without any activation problems.
I found this on the MS site about :
66R-00003 Windows Vista Ultimate English NA UPG DVD
66R-00025 Windows Vista Ultimate English UPG Not to Latam DVD
Retail Tech SKU

A little known fact - the "Anytime Upgrade" from Microsoft has the same
reinstallation restrictions as OEM.

But it wont install on vista, and Microsoft dont support old products.
The issue.
Installation consists of 2 parts
1- software installation (runs smoothly)
2- Driver / Device setup (cant connect with software)
When i get to section 2 of the installation it seys
Plug in your usb controller - And i do
When i do that Windows Vista shows next to the clock new hardware is located
drivers are installed, but it installs it as a "HID compatable mouse" and
therefore
when i click next inside the guide, it cant find it.
