Default Dictation problems on Speech Recognition

My Speech recognition undestand every commands I say but when I try to
dictate something in Microsoft Word or WordPad or other programs like
OpenOffice v 2.2.1 it does not recognize a word. I don't know what else to
do. I keep doing the training but the Speech Rec still does not write a
single word. Am I doing something wrong? There is a command to make SR ready
to dictate and that what I'm going to say is not a command? Please help me
because is very frustating and makes me willing to throw the computer through
the window

Yes, I also have this same issue.

The speech functions work in all but the dictation mode.

That is I can control the PC using speech but when I try to type a
sentence all I get is rubbish like: A18&''}ioP.

Any ideas?

This worked last week and I cant find what has corrupted it. I have
rolled back for a fortnight but still no luck.

Also I have tried 3 mics so the problem's not there.

I think it must be something to do with the language / dict file that
is used?

Any ideas?

Ok last night i went into the system configuration And turned on all the
startup programs and service stuff and restarted the computer, the
dictation started working fine, but when I turned off everything that
was Originally off and put it back to normal the dictation was still
working, so I don't know what got it to start working, you can try the
same but write all the startup and service that were off so you can turn
them off again.

p.s. try restarting the computer before you turn everything on in
system configuration and make sure that dosent just fix the problem.
