Default copy data files & folders to cd-rw

When i attempted to copy some *.jpg's from the picture gallery (on the hard
drive of my new vista machine) to a data cd-rw, i received error msg "invalid
ms-dos operation", and nothing was copied. The cd-rw is about half full of
data files including other *.jpg's which were copied to it using another
computer..and the vista machine is correctly displaying the file structure on
the cd-rw.. it doesn't seem i was doing anything that would not be allowed by
dos. Can it be that this error msg is really indicating an incompatible
cd-rw format? Have i missed some vista-unique operation that i have yet to
learn about? Any ideas?

It's very likely that the driver for your CD-RW device is having some
problem. I would check out the site of the maker of the drive for Vista
compatible drivers.

How exactly are you trying to copy?
From a command prompt?
Have you tried to drag the jpg's to the cd?
