Once in every 3 or 4 times after my computer has gone to sleep, it will not
restart. What happens is that the computer fans come on and it seems as if
the computer is going to start up but it never does. The screen stays black.
Sometimes there is a bar flashing in the upper left hand corner. To get it
going again, I need to turn my computer off and then on again. Anyone know
what's going on and how I may fixe it?
I have exactly the same problem - still trying to figure it out. Only
happens maybe once a week.

This happens to me too. You could try updating your BIOS to the latest
version, but that did not work for me, although they are still knocking out
BIOS updates for my motherboard. Who knows, maybe SP1 will fix it.
Bios is latest version. Version 1305 on my Striker Extreme mobo.

My computer restarts but my wireless mouse and keyboard don't
I sugest you go into:
ControlPanel>Power Options
and adjust some settings (you can always set them back to default)
from here you can actually stop it sleeping (it just powers down h/drive &
monitor)

Hi RiverDog,
You might try this troubleshooting guide to see if it will help you.

Is the difference in response related to time? Sleep turns into hibernation
after a period of time and you may not have the proper BIOS settings for
that. S1 & S3 if I recall
