Complete PC Backup is missing from Backup Status and Configuration
I noticed that Complete PC Backup is missing from Backup Status and
Configuration with my notebook PC which runs Vista Home Premium. Is
there a way to add this feature? Is it only not installed by default so
that it can be installed from DVD ROM?
Re: Complete PC Backup is missing from Backup Status and Configuration
Complete PC Backup is only in Vista Business and Ultimate.

Complete PC Backup is only included in Business, Ultimate
and Enterprise.
I suggest using Acronis True Image.
The times I have tested Complete PC Backup it worked
flawlessly. However, I trust Acronis True Image more and
it also has many more features. A great product and well
worth the money.

Andre and MICHAEL;
Thanks for your response.
MICHAEL, I purchased Acronis True Image 10 but have not installed it
yet. With your response as such I feel more assuarance about the
software. Thanks.

Re: Complete PC Backup is missing from Backup Status and Configuration
Thanks for your response.
I reviewed the article and it appeared that the utility has to be
installed. Can it be installed on Vista Home Premium?

IMO, you would still be better off using Acronis True Image.
It does full image backups, file and folder backups.

Re: Complete PC Backup is missing from Backup Status and Configuration
Thanks again for the info.
I have installed True Image 10 and did created a backup. It is very fast
and I like it. But it is still good to know more option to do it.

Re: Complete PC Backup is missing from Backup Status and Configuration
You're welcome.
You are right, having options is a good thing.
I do the same. While I depend on Acronis for
my primary backups, I also use CompletePC Backup
and let Vista's File Backup run once a week.
In addition, I use Safe Storage provided for free
by Road Runner. It makes automatic backups to
a secure server.

Re: Complete PC Backup is missing from Backup Status and Configuration
OK, Michael is also Acronis true image true owner, aside from a parallel
track of running the Ubuntu scam. The circle is closing in.
He ran this scam a few days ago. A bunch of ghosts started a bogus thread.
One alias asked what the best program was to do backups. Another imposter
pitched in and claimed that Acronis was he best. Yet another one said that
Ghost was the best. I figured the gang owned both. Perhaps it is the same
software with a slightly different GUI. It ran for a couple of days with
about 8 or ten allegedly happy daily users of Acronis showing up for the
spectacle. Quite a scam. I would be wary of Acronis as well as the Ghost.
