Compatibility with Vista

Good Evening:
I have several programs we use at work that I would like to install on my
computer with Vista Home Premium. The programs are:

1. SQL Server Enterprise Edition
2. Visual Studio 6.0
3. Visual Studio 2005
4. MSDN Library for Visual Studio 2005
5. FrontPage 2003
6. Office Infopath 2003 Toolkit for VS 2005

I have search for information concerning compatability with Vista, but have
found no conclusive information. Any and all
assistance/suggestions/responses are Greatly Appreciated. Thank You in
Advance!

VS2005 works fine, although it does have an update for better Vista
compatibility.
Not sure on the others, though. I just do basic VB.Net work and use MySQL.

Which version of SQL, 2000 or 2005? According to Microsoft, only SQL Server
2005 Service Pack 2 is compatible with Vista.

Hmm... just curious... but are you sure Home Premium is the right version of
Vista for the stuff you want to run, regardless of compatibility? Home
Premium does not support "business" type networking, e.g., you cannot join a
domain in Home Premium.

Hi Lang:

I am installing the programs on my home computer to I can learn to use
them. You are correct in your statement of being incapable of joining a
domain. Right now I just need the basics. Once I have grasped the basics,
our people at work will help me learn the business-aspect of joining a
domain and such. Thanks for Responding.

Can you please explain the difference between these two service packs?
I tried the first one and it would not install. I got a message that said
that either Visual Studio wasn't installed or it was the wrong edition.

The second one is on your list along with the update for this Service Pack.

I just upgraded from Vista Home Basic to Premium before installing VS.
I then installed Visual Studio 8 / 2005 Professional Edition and tried to
run the (first) Service Pack 1.
