Default Compatibility issues & Security w/Vista

I recently upgraded from XP to Vista BIG MISTAKE. I have nothing but problems.

1. Outlook 2007 does not work -
2. Word 2007 does not work properly I keep getting "saving the autorecovery
file is postponed for Normal.dotm" and I am not trying to save anything.

Do I need to uninstall and reinstall Office 2007?

3. I cannot access some of my folders on my hard drive saying that I do not
have administrative rights.... It is my PC and I am on the only person using
it. How can I correct this.

Extremely frustrated and want XP back. None of my existing applications seem
to be compatible with Vista and there too much security.

How do you change the security level so my Applications can work properly.

One option is to start over with a clean install of Vista and the apps. FYI
Office 2007 runs fine in Vista.

With regards to item 2, this is a known issue. Just delete the normal.dotm
file and it will be re-created when you next run word. It shouldn't bug you
after that.

With regards to item 3, some of these "folders" are probably not folders at
all, but what are called junction points (which are just pointers to another
folder). These are protected (even from Administrators) so that you don’t
mess them up. These should show as hidden folder shortcuts and will produce
an access denied message when you click on them as they have deny
permissions assigned to them.
