It's probably being blocked by you firewall protection s/w. If you are
using Windows Firewall, go to:
Start>Control Panel>Fire Wall>Allow Programs Through Fire Wall>check -
Internet Time Server
Bob F.
I turned off all Firewall Protection and still it won't update!
Thanks,
Deputy Lynch

Hi Deputy Lynch,
Go through the WARNING list at the top of this tutorial. It might be
able to help you get Internet Time Synchronization working.
I done everthing in that post and still have the same problem!
I can ping the time.nist.gov site but not the time.windows.com
Even though I can ping the nist site I still get the same error message!
Thanks again,
Dave

go through both!
It will ping the nist with my current settings but the clock will not update!

Dave,
If McAffee is the firewall program to and not just the antivirus
program, then that might be a cause of the problem to. You should only
have one firewall program installed or running to avoid conflicts with
each of them. I would just turn off Windows Firewall if McAffee has a
firewall included in it.
I started by turning off all of my firewalls and it still will not work!
I can disable the windows and mcafee together or seperatley and it still
will not work!
Like I stated I can ping the nist site but it will not work with the clock
update!
Thanks again,
Dave
