Default Can't FInd Downloaded Programs

Can anyone Assist. I have just loaded Vista on my PC. THe copy was provided
at purchase. Since the upgrade I have tried to download a couple of programs
from the internet. I save the program to a specific file folder and the
download begins.

Just as the download is completed the file appears and then disappears. I
cannot find it anywhere. These are specific files I know to be good trusted
sites. Any suggestions?

Have you looked in C:\Documents and Settings\yourlogin\Download? Did you
change the download directory from within Internet Explorer to the desired
location, or did you change it in the Save dialog when you downloaded it?

Default RE: Can't FInd Downloaded Programs

I have the same problem, I upgraded to Vista, and i have been downloading a
lot of files with vista but now I watch the file download, but when it is
finished it is not there, I have tried to download it to an external hard
drive, and to other folders on c: drive but I can not find the files, If I
select run...it downloads, but does not run. I also can not download any
email attachments at all (pic, pdf, wmv). I'm using Windows mail.

Thanks for your help
