Am using Windows Vista Home Premium for quite some time now and have not had
any problems until recently.
Since few days whenever i start my laptop in the usual mode i get a Blue
Screen of Death message which says my computer is being shut down to protect
memory etc. It says that there has been some new hardware or software
installed which is leading to this problem and I should either contact the
manufacturer or remove the malfunctioning component. To the best of my
knowledge i have not installed any new hardware or software.
The technical information given in the error message is as below
IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Technical Information
***STOP: 0*0000000A (0*00000000, 0*00000002, 0*00000001, 0*8208BC50)
after this the crash dump executes and the computer shuts down.
However I have had no problem working in safe mode.
Did you recently update or install new drivers? You are probably too late
to use last known good, but worth a try, otherwise your best bet, unless you
know what driver you changed and want to fix it in safe mode, is to use a
restore point.
