Default browse network shares

I can't seem to browse network shares from the XP machines on my network.

If I reference the share directly, it works fine, eg \\pob\photos\
but if I just want to see all available shares by going to \\pob\ it says
access is denied

Any ideas if you can get around this?

Thanks
