Backup Failure 0x800703F9

The system has attempted to load or restore a file into the registry, but the
specified file is not in a registry file format....
Anyone seen this error on backup????
Backing up to a seperate hard disk on the machine, fresh load of Vista Home
Premium, other than this system appears to be working fine...
