Hi,
I'm kind of hesitant to try installing Nero for the Nth time. Does anyone
know of a
company that puts out a Lean CD audio burning program that is compatible
with Vista?
And I'm not looking for free or open source - I'll pay for it. I'm just
behind on
what's actually out there.
I've looked into Roxio and it seems they are just as bloated as Nero. So I
don't think I'll go for
their Easy Media Creator 9.0 if I can help it. It is possible that Roxio's
RecordNow may be enough and not too large
of a program. But I can't tell if that is compatible with Vista.
Anyone notice how these Audio Companies are only putting out the Vista
Certification
for the bloated, massive programs?

Frank
Have a look at DeepBurner - I found it when Nero Express wouldn't work on
Vista.

Tried Roxio emc9 and it is junk. Gui feezes, codecs disable some of the
wmp11 features. I tried nero 7 ultimate. A big problem with it is connecting
to the online cd database to populate the cd track meta file data. Do Not
Install Roxio on a Vista machine.

Thanks for all your suggestions - I actually remembered that my HP Upgrade
Assistant DVD had some
OEM Roxio software on it.
I had to dig for it within a whole list of zip files, but I finally found
it.
Turns out it is Roxio 'Creator Basic v 9.0'. A much more lean
version of Emc.
There is also Roxio RecordNow 9.0 downloadable version that is Vista
Compatible for $29.99.
Thanks, Frank
