What antivirus works best with Vista Home Premium?

there are lots of antivirus products that could work well with home
premium.:sarc:
i use avg 8.5 free edition for my home basic os.

Isn't Avast H/E Free going to be terminated at the end of this year?
If not, that would have been my recommendation also.

I've seen this rumor before. I think it's only around because Avast
expires after one year and forces you to re-register to continue to
use it. But, I've seen no plans to actually charge for it.

As to the OP's question: Use Avast. Low system load, high ratings in
tests.
