Isn't Avast H/E Free going to be terminated at the end of this year?

I've seen this rumor before. I think it's only around because Avast
expires after one year and forces you to re-register to continue to
use it. But, I've seen no plans to actually charge for it.
As to the OP's question: Use Avast. Low system load, high ratings in
tests.
