I noticed that Ageia PhysX was in the control panel but I dont remember
putting it there. Does this come with the default vista installation? Or did
some program put it there?
Considering the fact, that I don't have it, I would say it was put there by
a driver or program...

That's not part of the default install.
Unless you have an Ageia PhysX card in your pc.

Some games need Pays to run and will install the Pays drivers with the game
install.
Even if you don't have a PhysX card these games still need the driver which
will perform Pays functions in software.
