i burned a vista x64 install dvd with the 4gb hotfix slipstreamed (using
vlite - and i did tick the 4gb fix checkbox in vlite). i then tried to
install vista with 4gb of ram and i still got a bsod. has anyone done
this successfully? i know the hotfix was included on the dvd i burned
because when i finished installing vista (with 2gb of ram) and tried to
install the hotfix, it said that the update does not apply to my system.
1. 2 Gigs memory
2. Install Vista
3. Install all updates
4. Install hotfix
5. Reboot
6. If system is working fine, shut down
7 Install total memory
8 Restart.
I can't tell from your post if this is what you have done.....

yes, i am aware of that when you have a regular install disk. however,
the whole point of slipstreaming the 4gb hotfix into the installation
disk is so you DONT have to remove any ram when installing off of it.
thats what im trying to do. im using vlite to slipstream the hotfixes
into the vista installation.
