Before you get too excited, note that: "In mid-March, we will release
Windows Vista SP1 to Windows Update". So the bottom line is, we have to wait
another month.
Come on guys, you let us download the beta, why not the RTM?
Haven't you heard?
"Later this month, the service pack will be made available to MSDN and
TechNet Plus subscribers".

The release is staggered to allow for any additional feedback firstly from
the technical beta testers and dev partners on the closed programs, then the
system builds, then MSDN/TechNet subscribers and finally the general public
release.
If your system is OK now and fully patched then the changes and updates in
SP1 will have little significant impact on you so there is no rush.
Or do you have a specific issue that is fixed in SP1 and was not available
as a general hotfix or a support available one? or require a particular new
feature ?

I personally can wait another month. I want the problems ironed out before
it is release.
I read that MS is contacting drive manufacturors about upgrading the
drivers. (I hope Sigmatel is one of them. I had problems with
the MIDI portion. Other than that, SP RC1 worked great.) And please avoid
downloading the socalled RTMs from thepriratebay.org
they are not official and problably have malware slipped-streamed into them.
They are pirates, and have tons of viruses flow throw the torrents.
