Vista / previous desktop gone

We had to reformat the server and setup users again. Now the only
previous desktop we can see is incomplete.
Any suggestions where to look for the files.
In XP it's quite simple under Documents and Settings but in Vista
something else seems to have occurred. Is the security blocking us
somehow? I am setup as a machine and network administrator.

Hi,

A user's desktop would be under:

C:\Users\<username>\desktop

There may also be shared items under:

C:\Users\Public\Public Desktop
