When I boot off the Windows Vista Home Premium Install DVD everything runs
smoothly until the blue-ish wallpaper and mouse cursor appear. Having
installed Vista before on previous machines I expected a welcome screen to
appear asking me my language and if i wanted to install. Instead nothing
happens. I have tried both 64-bit and 32-bit versions of Vista but both do
the same thing. Is there a way of getting this to work?
I do not have a copy of windows XP to install on the machine to perform an
upgrade.
System Specs:

nVidia GeForce 8600 GT 512MB RAM
There is no problem with your system specification. Installer might be
the problem...Try to use another Vista DVD or burn the image in another
DVD and give a try..This should solve your problem..
Annoyingly it has worked now. Apparently the installer wanted to sit there
for 30 minutes before it would do anything, installation was slower than any
other vista install but once installed it works perfectly.
