Vista fails to uninstall Palm Desktop S/W

I want to install a recent downloaded version of Palm Desktop software. But
first I need to uninstall an old version which I tried to load from a CD.
That installation not successful. The Vista uninstaller gives me the
following message:
X Error #0x80040702
failed to load dll: PalmDev C
Set up will now terminate

I'm running Vista Home Premiun on an almost new PC. How can I get rid of
this old program?

I've got the same problem as you. Error number: 0x80040702; Failed to
load dll:PalmDevC. And the uninstall terminates. Does anyone have any
idea how to fully uninstall Palm? [Even then, I had previously
installed the original program and the updates from the Palm site, but
couldn't sync. I suspect that's a different problem.]
Anyway, any help would be appreciated.
