Default Vista -- Driver Issues?

I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum for these issues: Here they are and
they may be related ... I'm not sure:

Setup:
Vista Ultimate
XFX SLI lt motherboard 2 GB Ram
GFI FX 8500 - graphics card

System generally operating except:

Code 12 - OpenHCD Controller --- driver says that it installs properly but I
get the Code 12 error sayinf that there is not enough system resources to
operate (yellow exclamation in Device Manager)

Next issue -- may be related - not sure

I have a Microsoft MCE remote and receiver... the drivers do not install
it does not detect the device when plugged into (or out of) the USB port

The receiver and remote does work on another system running Vista Ultimate

Please help! Thanks

use Device Manager and remove the HCD Controller.
shut down the compjuter.
wait 3-5 minutes and power it back up.
allow it to find the controller and install the software.
then try it again.

Default Re: Vista -- Driver Issues?

That has been done on several occasions. The finding of the controller and
the installation of the drivers goes smoothly and I receive a message that
the device was installed properly. Nevertheless, I have the issues that I
posted about.

Please help. Thanks

either the device is not suitable for vista or you are really out of resources and vista cannot allocate or find some to share.

might check with the manufacturer.
