upgrading vista home primuim to vista Buisness

are there any reasons you cant upgrade vista home primuim to vista Buisness.

is it that easy you just run the vista buisness disk...

can you help?

You stick in the disc and run setup.exe, which I did upgrading from HP to
Ultimate. Vista over Vista should be a piece of cake, but don't hold me to
it.

Yes, that scenario is blocked.
Since the feature set is different between Windows Vista Home Premium and
Windows Vista Business editions, that upgrade is not allowed.
You would lose functionality since the some of the features in Windows
Vista Home Premium are not contained in Windows Vista Business edition,
You would be allowed to upgrade to Windows Vista Ultimate which contains
all the features so not features would be lost during an upgrade.

Home Premium to Ultimate is fine, but there is no upgrade path from Home
Premium to Business which is what the OP is asking about.

To the OP you can use an upgrade version of Vista Business with Vista Home
Premium as the qualifying OS, but it can only be a custom (clean install).
You cannot do an in place upgrade.
