Default upgraded to vista home prem from xp home..

Hi, it all went smooth as pie.
during the upgrade process the instalation asked me if i wanted to backup my
old OS (xp).. i thought.. may as well just incase something went wrong....
Now my HDD is 78% full, i am wondering if i had made a mistake, as i
understand that the old OS backup takes up alot of disk space...

Is there a way to safely remove my old OS that was backed up?

Hi Marcus,

Yes there is.

Just delete the Windows.old file folder. It will start deleting and
then will tell you that it's to big for the Recycling Bin, Do you want
to permantely delete. Just say yes. File folder path *C:\Windows.old*

Hope this helps,
Shawn
