trying to install ims8 and I can,t

I have download the setup and it goes though the motions but nothing i even
lower my secuity risk, do any one know how to get it in to vista.

Right-click on the .exe>run as Admin.

Hang on; normally an installer comes with it.
Get Messenger 2008 version, straight from microsoft.com
