Default resetting default profile

I would like to reset my default porfile back to windows defaults.
Brief History: The computer was imaged with the wrong default profile,
and i would like to start the profile over from scratch. Any ideas on
the best way to do this? I need ALL settings reset to windows defaults.

Thanks to anyone for helping.

What exactly do you mean by "profile" ???
Under Computer/Properties...there is a hardware profile
and then there is the user profile that is created when you create a new
user.

If we assume that you mean User Profile...creating a new User creates a new
Profile.....A profile you can add to .
Deleting the old User will delete that users Profile....all of this is done
under Control Panel..be sure to set up the new user before actually deleting
the old user...then when you have the new the way you want and only then
delete the old.

Since the default user profile is the only place these settings are
stored, and yours has been changed, the only way that comes to mind is
to grab the default user registry hive from a computer that has the
settings you want. It will be in C:\Users\Default\ntuser.dat

Hope this helps.
