Vista and tell us x86 or x64. Is the dvd drive IDE or SATA?

Processor is Dual Core Quad, Disc and CD are SATA. Vista is 64bit Ultimate

Can you set the SATA dvd drive to IDE mode in the BIOS?
I understand that you meant to say dvd rather than cd.
