Default Reformatting Vista - Error

Hi All, I have been trying to reformat my Vostro 1700 laptop. I know
very little about computers so I am trying my best and I can answer more
questions.

I somehow managed to download a trojan, I think my son did in a World
of Warcraft file actually, but anyway, so I thought the easiest thing to
do is to reformat the computer. I have gotten to where it gets to 5
steps - the last one being "Completing Installation..."

And it will go like this -
"Completing installation.
Completing installation..
Completing installation...
Completing installation."

And so on for about 15 minutes before it gives me an error. I have done
it twice and it happened both times. I am doing it again so I can write
down what the exact error message is and post it, but I was sort of
hoping this is a common problem and somebody will know what is going on.
Thank you!

Hi,

The error message may help. So would knowing what recovery method you are
using as they vary by system manufacturer.
