That's about all the the 32bit version of Vista can support...
if you want to use more RAM you will need the 64bit version of Vista
You are running the 32 bit version of Vista. 32 OS's can only address 4 GB
of memory. That 4 GB includes video memory, I/O, BIOS, and finally RAM. So,
your machine will only "see" what is left after the other hardware reserves
its addresses in that 4 GB, which is ~3.2GB.
