What image? If you are referring to the desktop background, it should,
usually, fill the entire available screen. You can choose to have the
background fill only a portion of the screen.

You may not be able to change that window. Is the Maximize button shown at
the top right of the window? If so, then click it and the window will
expand to fill the entire screen. If there is no Minimize, Maximize or
Close button, the window can not be resized.
