Need to re-activate vista if install new Mobo/cpu?
Hi, I am wondering if I bought a new intel core 2 duo cpu and
motherboard, that I would have to re-activate Windows Vista. When I did it
with an old xp computer, it made me re-activate it. Luckily, I had another xp
at home to do that. I just don't want to have to pay for another Vista
Ultimate.

You won't need to pay for another copy of Vista, just use the telephone
activation method.

Ok, I guess I will buy them and try that if it occurs. Thanks.

If you are talking about an OEM version of Vista, you may be out of luck.
Retail should be no problem.
