Default Money 2000

A box I bought in 1999 came with Money 2000. I've been using it ever since
and that box died. I took a clean box (with just OS on it) and used my MS
Backup dataset to restore all my software and data. Nearly everything works,
but Money 2000 isn't. I am guessing I have lost some important registry
entries, but I'll take any help I can get!

You will need the original installation media.

Money 2000 is probably incompatible with Vista
Post to a microsoft.public.money for information as to whether it will run
on Vista

Older versions of Money run under Vista.

The Money data file must not be in its default Program Files area - move it
to the User area - or changes to the data will not be saved.

When first launched Money should be run with elevated privileges - right
click on the shortcut used to start Money and select Run as administrator -
or it will be unable to update the Money program files. This is required
only on first launch.
