Default Key is incorrect

I purchased a laptop about a month ago, and haven't been able to write the
correct product key. I have tryied so many times that the system already gave
me an error message.

When I write the product key, when promted by the office programs, I write
the product key that appears at the bottom of the laptop, and after it
automatically gives me the following messge: The key is incorrect. Verify
that you have the correct key, and then retype it.

I'm sure that the key that I'm typing is correct(bottom of laptop). Please
advice what to do!

That key is for Vista, not Office. Assuming that you don't have a trial
version of Office, as installed by some vendors, check your paperwork,
CD/DVD cases for an Office key. If you're unaure if a trial version of
Office was installed, I suggest you check with the vendor.

Trial versions of Office will work for a set amount of time before they
stop working unless converted to full, retail versions. Not sure if any
discount is available when/if you do.

The Product Key on the label affixed to the laptop is that of Windows.
It will not work for Office. To obtain an Office Product Key, look on
the packaging that contains the Office installation media. If you have
a trial version of Office that came with the new computer, you'll have
to purchase a full Office to obtain the Office Product Key.
