Default Fresh Install of Vista Ultimate - Advice Required

Hi there,

I am going to be doing a fresh install of Vista Ultimate 64 on my PC and
just wondered if I should backup both my hard drives ... I will be installing
on the C drive, but I keep important documents on the F drive ... will Vista
wipe them both for a clean install?

Many thanks

Vista will not wipe any drive/partition unless you tell it to do so BUT
you should do a regular backup of any files you want to keep even if
you're NOT installing anything.

I'd backup to CDs or DVDs or else to a reserved partiton on one of the
harddrives or, better yet, both.

F drive should be safe.
However in similar situations, I physically disconnect the cables from
the drive to prevent any possibility of any problems.
