Last night I downloaded a program (DVD writing program) and it ask to
be installed on the DESKTOP ... or so I thought .... so when
the install wizard ask where to install, I changed where the automatic
set location was (the programs folder) to the Desktop, doe dee doe. Now
I have succesfully installed the program on the desktop but can't see
the desktop for all the files.
1) How do I decide which files belong to the downloaded program?
2) What do I do with the files once they are ID'd?
3) Should I move them to the ... Programs Floder... & How do I do that?
or something totally different.
Sorry for the compound question, just looking for some direction.
Thanks.
Try going into Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> find your
program on the list and then uninstall it. This should remove all, or
anyway most, of the files on your desktop that belong to the program.
Then re-run the install without changing the default location.

Uninstall the program from Control Panel>Programs & Features. Reboot. Your
Desktop should now be clear of those files.
If you want the program, reinstall it and use the defaults. You
misunderstood the directions.
