I got my Vista Business pre-installed with my laptop. I understand that
there is a separate partition for recovery if some thing goes wrong with
vista. There are no CDs/DVDs provided by the manufacturer.
I have dual boot on this laptop now with Ubuntu being the second env. I fear
that if something goes wrong with Ubuntu boot loader, I would loose my stuff.
Is there some way in which I can create a recovery cd/DVD from a running
vista installation ?
You'd have to check the manufacturer's documentation. Many provide a means
of making your own recovery disks, but the methods vary. Alternately, some
will provide the disks for a nominal fee.
