What cable for DVI-I => Trinitron monitor

I just bought a computer that comes with a Radeon X1300 XGE video card
that features two DVI-I connections. I want to use it with my Trinitron
Multiscan CPD-G500 monitor, which first came out in 2000. So the monitor
takes the cable that at that time was standard.

What cable or adapter do I need between the DVI-I video card and what I
believe is a standard almost 10-year-old monitor? I tried searching
Google and got more and more confused so I thought I'd ask.

I had to check: the CPD-G500 comes with both BNC and VGA connectors. (The
VGA is a miniature 15 pin D connector.)

The easy way to do it is with a standard DVI-to-VGA adapter. They are
usually included with retail graphics cards. I'm surprised that none came
with the new PC: while CRT monitors are getting scarce, it's easy to buy an
LCD monitor that only has a VGA interface.

The adapters are cheap, but the standard online vendors (www.newegg.com) may
charge you twice the price of the adapter for shipping. Perhaps you have a
local source?

I think that most modern graphics cards can't use the BNC connectors.

Thanks! I was sure it would be something absolutely standard, but when
you know nothing and you do a web search it can be hard to find
something that explains the obvious in words of one syllable. It took me
a while even to figure out that the thing on the card was called a DVI
connector.

It's a used computer, I have nothing but the box, so I'll have to buy
the adapter. I'm in NYC so there ought to be a local source!

shipping (warning: uses DHL). Its 3.24 on Monoprice but they ship from CA
so it will take about 5 days to reach NY.

Yeah. If somebody's in the store and he needs one and it's $10 he's not
going to go from store to store to find a better price.
