Default Tyan s2925 and AMD Phenom Won't post

I've built a system with a Tyan Tomcat 3400b ( s2925 ) motherboard and an AMD Phenom 9600 processor. I started with an AMD Phenom 9850 and it would not post. I read on a forum post that I would need to update the BIOS to get it to work with the Phenom. I took it to a local shop and had them flash the BIOS to the latest version. The board did post with an older AM2 processor. So I bought a Phenom 9600, which is on the compatibility list on Tyan's website. The board still won't post. Fans spin, hard drive spins, cdrom spins but I see nothing on the screen.
Does any one have an idea how I can get this to post?
