I got a problem with the i950 (i810) in my R60e: when connecting a TFT
to my external VGA port i can see strange flickering as if you told Xorg
to use a wrong HorizSync / VertRefresh on a old CRT monitor.
I also tried searching for the HorizSync / VertRefresh TFT (a Benq T720)
and using those - no difference.
Does anyone know where i could start searching/trying?

Had the same issue with a large Hyundai
panel. Solved it by dropping the resolution.

Just tried it. I set the X resolution to 800x600 (no other values
supplied) and restarted X. When it came up again i was suprised - it was
(according to xrandr) 1024x768 with no choices available. after trying
around a bit more i found out that when the LFP is active (i use
MonitorLayout None,CRT+LFP) it will go 1024x768 and nothing
else. Deactivating the LFP (using None,CRT) i can only use 640x480.
i just solved the problem by upgrading my i810 driver to
i810-modesetting from debian-unstable. This one works just like a charm,
no flickering, nothing.
