Default Confused abt Lenovo's linup: Wanting to buy fast!

I am student at college

Need a new laptop

I like the idea of good sound in a laptop as listen to
much online radio.

Id prefer no bigger then 15.4 " and no smaller than 14"

I want capacity for 9 cell battery and maybe even
removable optical drive so another "bay" type battery
can be slipped in there. I really don't see wisdom of
carrying around optical drive at all times if not
needed

Anyway.... sounds like the Y series would do me but not
sure abt the 720p resolution vs 1440 x 900

Also, not sure if can get 9 cell and removable optical
drive in Y series

Any advice please?

Thanks!!

If there is a 'd' missing anywhere in my post it's likely due to my laptop's
keyboard 'd' key currently needing to be hit harder than the other keys.

Go with a T-Series ThinkPad. Absolutely the best.
