Default Seagate File Recovery v2.0: Useless?

Hello!

I read about Seagate File Recovery v2.0
(https://services.seagate.com/diysoftware.aspx). Is it any good or is it
simple like any other file recovery tools (especially free ones)?

Thank you in advance.

It's superior to the freewares. It's a rebrand of R-Studio actually which I
regard pretty good software.

Entering following in Google came up with about 117,000 hits:

"r-studio" review

I don't suggest trying to read them all (lol) but reading a few should
give you an idea as to what it can and can't do. It will also give you
some reasons why it is so highly rated.

But it can: Put only worthless data on the disk! ;-)

Other than that, a definite no.
