Default Sandisk cruzer micro for Windows 98se Options (2)

Of course I've called Sandisk tech support twice...they are no help at
all and nowhere in the product literature does it SAY what is supposed
to happen when I plug it into the USB port.

Please, ALL I want to do is to move some files from one computer to
another. I've spent hours and hours messing with this. Why does it
have to be so hard? I'm no geek but I can follow directions. Sheesh.

Someone please HELP!

Are your computer's USB ports USB 2.0 compatible?
Are you using front panel, or back panel motherboard ports?

The Cruzer should show up in Windows Explorer, using the
next free drive lettter, and a removable device icon should
appear in the lower right task bar notification area.

I don't know about the 'USB 2.0 compatible' part. I am using the USB
ports on the back of the machine; there are two of them.....get same
results (none) with either one.

"The Cruzer should show up...." That's what I thought. When I checked
the flash drive on my WinXP machine that's what I got. The driver I
downloaded was from the Sandisk site...some have said I didn't get the
right one?

Go to Device Manager. Do you have a "USB flash disk" in the Disk
Drives category? If so, r-click it, select Properties -> Settings, and
check the "current drive letter assignment". If the drive is there but
not shown in Explorer, then perhaps that particular drive letter is
hidden. You can hide/unhide drive letters using Microsoft's TweakUI.

Otherwise verify that your hardware can see your flash disk using
Microsoft's UVCView utility:

Don't worry if there is no icon on the taskbar. Not all drivers put an
icon there.

If you still have troubles, then try Maximus Decim's NUSB universal
USB driver set:
