Default Cheapest USB flash memory

Any recommendations for really cheap USB memory sticks, like a couple
of quid each? At that price, I could buy a dozen of them and afford to
give one to a friend or relative without worrying about getting it
back. I wonder if they will ever come down to less than £1 each, then
they really can be a FDD replacement.

Phil.

Aren't CD and DVD discs quite a bit less than £1 each?

Nowhere near as convenient though. You can't exactly carry one around
on your keyring or in your jacket pocket.
