I'm wondering if such adapters exist, that takes a 1.8" IDE HDD from
ultraportables/ipods, and converts them to a 2.5" form factor. I've
seen bare adapter PCBs, but I'm not sure if the entire PCB adapter +
1.8" HDD will fit within a 2.5" form factor, and plug into a regular
laptop...if such adapters exist, where can I get one?

Why would you want to do this? 1.8" hdds are painfully slow....

I have my reasons. Do you have an answer to my question?

Congrats, you know how to google too. Like I said I've only seen the
bar adapter PCBs, namely the Addonics one. I'm asking about one where
it's a package i.e like a box. If you don't have the answer, you don't
need to be condescending and assume I haven't looked.
