Default write cache on adaptec 2405

Hi I enabled read cache on my 2405 but I disabled write cache because
of the ugly warning. I wonder if this is really dangerous. I have two
mirrors on my server. Will power failure ruin the mirror and make it
unredable if I enable write cache. I am running linux.
