Default Host Adapter configuration error

Hello,

I've got an adpatec AHA2940U2W adapter.
When i start my computer without SCSI peripherals or with my DDS3 tape,
I've got any error messages and my tape reader work.
If i plug my autoloader overland, i've the message "Host Adapter
configuration error: no bios installed".

I don't understand where is the problem. Wrong SCSI ID ?

Thanks for yours answers.

Matt

Maybe because there isn't one?

Can you explain?
My device is not recognized. I can not get along.
I am trying to understand the reason for this dysfunction.
Thx

The message you are seeing is due to not having a disk device or any other
bootable device connected to the host adapter. It is entirely normal in such
configurations, in spite of the use of the word "error".

Your tape device does not require the scsi host adapter bios to be
"installed". It does, however, require software to be installed that
recognizes the specific tape device...
