Gigabyte EP45-DS3P & Adaptec 29160N or 39160 Crads

Just bult a new PC using the above board. But when I fit either of
the above cards, the board sees' the card and at during POST, I press
ctrl+A to get in to Adpatec bios, but theire running the utilities
neither card will see any of my sci hd's (got 6!). Tried attaching
each 1 indviually, Got a brand new lvd lead. No joy

Any ideas
