I recall paying $30 for my 18GB 15K drive a few years ago, which was a good deal.
Now there is a steady supply of 74GB Fujitsu drives going for about $30 on ebay.
I won one last week, and today won a Adaptec 29160N for $20 shipped.
Beats any SATA solution, no matter what StorageReview's lame benchmarks say.

Probably *because* of what "StorageReview's lame benchmarks say".

Are these amazingly cheap drives proper parallel-SCSI or the SAS variant
drives?
BTW Fujitsu (IDE) drives are rubbish - or were a few years ago.

Take some lessons in English comprehension Folkert, and while you're at
it, ask about implied meanings. You take things too literally; a google
on "excessive literality" throws up some interesting responses.
The implication of my comment, for your sole benefit, is that HPaq OEM
Fujitsu SCSI drives for use in their servers, so they are likely to be
pretty good, since HPaq sell good quality stuff.
